Old timey Clove Pinks love sun and good drainage. They are perfect for a rock garden or a sunny bank. The silvery green foliage forms low, spreading, evergreen mats and their Carnation-like flowers are strongly and sweetly scented. 'Wicked Witch', a sport of 'Firewitch', has 1 inch brilliant cherry red flowers which cover 6 inch mounds of silvery needle-shaped leaves in late spring, early summer, and then sporadically throughout the summer.
