The Perennial Plant Association's 2002 Plant of the Year, 'David' is a very mildew resistant pure white flowering phlox found as a chance seedling by FM Mooberry at the Brandywine Conservancy in Pennsylvania. Grows 3 to 4 feet tall in full sun and average soil. Blooms in early to mid-summer but will keep flowering if spent flowers are cut off. A great cut flower, very fragrant, and butterflies love it.
