Uvularia perfoliata
Bellwort, Merry-bells Zones: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Bellwort forms large colonies in good woods throughout eastern North America, and at first glance resembles Solomon's Seal with its arching stems and alternate lance-shaped leaves. But the late spring, early summer flowers are creamy yellow, drooping, 1 inch bells, borne at the tips of branched stems up to 18 inches tall. It is common in the woods and would be a good plant for naturalizing in shaded areas. Cat# 1289
