Twinleaf is a delightful spring-blooming perennial which grows in moist, rich , usuall basic woods. A solitary white-petaled flower rises on leafless stems 8 or 9 inches tall. The flowers look a bit like shaggy daisies and last a single day followed by an upright seed pod or follicle, with a distinct cap which is held closed until seeds are ready to be dispersed. Twinleaf is named for its foliage which is actually one leaf divided into two semicircles a t the end of a stalk. Good companions for Twinleaf are Foamflower, Bishops Cap, Celandine Poppy and Shooting Stars. They may naturalize and form huge patches of thousands of plants. This is a spectacular site! Cat# 1519

Eastern Red Cedar is a lovely and very common small tree that occurs throughout the United States from the Rocky Mountains east. It seems to be ubiquitous in every sunny fencerow where a bird has had an opportunity to sit for a while. It can thrive where few other plants can grow. The species is a 20 to 40' gray/green, columnar to broadly pyramidal tree that in time may have beautiful gray peeling bark and bright red wood. 'Poyo' is a dwarf, spreading form that makes bright blue/green 3' by 4' clumps. Needle color is an attractive silver-blue. Clumps have dense centers and branches spread out gracefully. Use 'Poyo' in full sun and average to dry soil where you want a fine textured evergreen - as a low hedge, a back drop, or as accents in a larger garden. Cat# 1598
